Maryland's Stevenson University is a Great Place for Adult Learning

The Career Services Office and graduate and professional school staff offer a comprehensive range of services, programs and activities for adult students, providing the same hands on counseling received by traditional students. We tailor our Career Architecture^sm process to meet the needs of the non-traditional student, who is:

• Working but looking for advancement within the business
• Looking to re-enter the job market after some absence
• Looking to finish a degree to find a new job or advancement in the present job
• Looking to change careers
• Simply looking

Career Services offers an individualized career plan through one-on-one advising and career approaches.  Each adult student has an opportunity to meet with an advisor, who will not only look at individual goals but also help the student to make decisions regarding their future career plans.

In addition to advising, career fairs, on campus recruitment, resume workshops and mock interviews, non-traditional, adult students have the opportunity to network with their professors, their fellow students and staff so that they can explore current opportunities for employment and look at a future that fulfills their expectations.

The Career Place is not limited to our traditional students - it is a place that is open to all our students, whether they are eighteen or eighty, traditional student, or adult students.

Accelerated Bachelor's Degree Programs

Our accelerated bachelor's degree programs are specially designed to allow busy working people the opportunity to earn their degrees and pursue their career goals while maintaining their job and family schedules. Most degrees can be completed in 24 months, depending on the amount of credit a student has previously acquired. An increasing number of high caliber online courses are also being offered.
